Anderson Silva mocks Belfort for analyzing the fight between them in the UFC

Apparently, the rivalry between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort is still alive. Last Wednesday (11), the former UFC middleweight champion (84 kg), upon learning of an analysis made by 'The Phenom' about the fight between them, which took place in 2011 and which was the new 'boom' of MMA in Brazil at the time, simply mocked him.

In September, Belfort gave an exclusive interview to 'ESPN' Brasil and, when remembering the important fight against Anderson, with both at their peak in the UFC, he admitted that he made a mistake by standing in front of him, giving him the opportunity he needed to knocking him out with a front kick that went down in MMA history.

But, despite the hard setback, Vitor stated that, if he faced Anderson ten times in his career, he would win the remaining nine fights as he considered himself a superior fighter. Upon seeing a post with a comment from his rival, the UFC Hall of Famer, through his official 'Instagram' account, appealed to humor in his response, posting crying and laughing emojis.

The fight

The confrontation involving the athletes was tense and with little action at the beginning. After a long period of study, which disturbed some of the fans, Anderson exuded technique and precision when delivering a front kick to Belfort's chin, who fell into the octagon. With his rival on the ground, 'The Spider' settled the bill via ground and pound, defending the UFC middleweight belt at the time.

Anderson Silva, 49 years old, is one of the most celebrated fighters in combat sports. At his peak, the Brazilian made a mark in MMA. 'The Spider' won the UFC middleweight title shortly after his debut with the company and defended it ten times. It's no surprise that the veteran is part of the organization's Hall of Fame.

In his MMA career, Anderson built a record consisting of 34 wins, 11 losses and one no contest. His main triumphs were against Chael Sonnen (twice), Dan Henderson, Demian Maia, Derek Brunson, Forrest Griffin, Nate Marquardt, Rich Franklin (twice) and Vitor Belfort.
