Felipe Lima overcomes rival and scores second UFC victory

Felipe Lima continued his good professional moment in the UFC. This Saturday (14), in Florida (USA), the Brazilian had to overcome himself in the octagon, but, in the end, won the battle against Miles Johns by unanimous decision. In this way, the athlete scored his second consecutive victory in the largest MMA organization in the world.

With the important triumph, Felipe remains undefeated in the UFC and, little by little, is getting closer to joining the featherweight (66 kg) ranking. On the other hand, the American saw his run of two victories come to an end.

Felipe Lima, 26 years old, is a promise in MMA. The Brazilian began his career in the sport in 2015 and debuted in the UFC in 2024. In the sport, the athlete built a record consisting of 14 wins and one loss.

The fight

Felipe started the fight aggressively, focusing on kicks. Comfortable, the Brazilian tried to take down his opponent and scared him by throwing a knee. Focused, Felipe remained sharp in his striking and shook Johns with a punch. The athlete also hit his opponent with crosses and a beautiful round kick. On the defensive, the American tried to bring danger to his rival with crosses, but barely touched him. Angry, Johnson provoked Felipe, calling him into a fight.

In the second round, Johns came back more aggressive. Felipe, on the other hand, remained sharp in his striking. Calmly, the Brazilian took down the wrestler, but did not control him on the ground. Standing, Johns reversed the position, but soon lost it. In the exchange, Felipe landed an upper on his opponent and a jab afterwards. In the final round, the American shook Felipe with a punch. Recovered, the Brazilian moved away from danger.

In the third and final part, the fight continued to be intense. Felipe landed an uppercut on his opponent's chin. In response, Johns delivered a powerful cross to his opponent. With the duel balanced in striking, Felipe managed to take down the American. Behind Johns' back, the Brazilian sought the rear naked choke, but his rival defended himself. After the scare, the American took Lima's back, but did not take advantage of the situation. At the end of 15 minutes of action, Felipe emerged victorious by unanimous decision.
